Having met Peter Cano was not only a great honor, but also a great pleasure. He was a Scout leader like there are few, most of us are thinking of helping, sharing our enthusiasm, knowledge and skills and to be the best role model possible for the boys and girls. It is a noble objective and what makes the Scouts an exemplary organization.

Yesterday we lost one of the neatest blokes I ever met: Capt. Dennis Metzger. His generosity had no limits and many dimensions. He taught by thought, example and action and is up to us to keep his flame alive. Dennis made me a better leader and a better person."Sponge Bob" leaves a hole impossible to fill, but the only way I know to honor him would be to work harder and improve our program in his name.
Dennis: I'm thankful for the gift of your friendship, your joy and courage for all you shared with us and for the many moments of adventure you gave us, above and underwater.
Ciao amico. Carlos M. Arenas

Ahoy Everyone: Last night Mary O'Malley from Shark Savers gave Ship 238 and Troop 226 a wonderful presentation about the dire forecast for the sharks around the world. We will be engaging in help at different levels, but right now you can make a difference by signing a petition that Cristina Zenato (the shark whisperer, search for "nina salerosa" in Youtube) is pushing forward to ban shark slaughtering in the Bahamas. Please broadcast to all you friends, we are less than 500 signatures off the 20,000 needed.
